Yoga + Workshops

The essence of yoga lies in expanding awareness of the self and creating a sense of connectedness in body, mind and spirit. Its roots are deeply embedded in ancient India as both a science and an art that has led people to experience consciousness as the one unifying principle of creation. Yoga is a practice that calls to the hearts, minds and bodies of many. It is a transformative practice that changes you breath by breath and thought by thought.

I first experienced yoga as a teenager. Since that first encounter, I have benefited in body, mind and spirit through all that yoga has to offer. I hope to share these possibilities with my students. In 2011, I combined my passion for yoga and travel by studying yoga and Vedic wisdom in Rishikesh, India. I am deeply grateful for the time I spent at Rishikesh Yog Peeth and for my teachers: Roshan Singh and Sanjay Naithani. My studies in India were strongly based upon the living traditions passed along to my teachers. Currently, I am studying with Saul David Raye, who has deeply impacted my personal practice and my approach to teaching.

Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one’s being, from bodily health to self-realization. Yoga means union – the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. ~ B.K.S. Iyengar

In my classes, I aim to create an environment of curiosity and authenticity for students to explore yoga asana, pranayama, meditation and beyond. I hope to create a safe, encouraging space where students are invited to step into their own bodies, refine breath awareness and have an experience that best serves them in the present moment. I offer variations for different levels, as well as verbal cues and hands-on adjustments to ensure my students safety and deepen their understanding of yoga asana.
